JUSTIN MILLER
While the football version of Justin Miller is in the headlines for being the latest NFL player in trouble with the law the baseball version of Justin Miller has made it back to the big leagues.
Former Syracuse pitcher Justin Miller had his contract purchased by the Florida Marlins this weekend. After being released by the Philadelphia Phillies (Ottawa) on April 19th, the right-hander signed on to play with the Marlins AAA team the Albuquerque Isotopes a week later.
Miller pitched in 11 games for the Isotopes and registered 6 saves and 1.50 ERA. In his first game for Florida on Saturday Justin allowed just one hit and no runs in one inning of work and struck out three Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
