FINDING THE TIME FOR DIAZ AND THIGPEN IN SYRACUSE
MLB.com reporter Jordan Bastian reported this week that the Blue Jays are trying to sort out how catching prospects Robinzon Diaz and Curtis Thigpen will each get enough playing time this season at Syracuse. One way is to have the players spend time at other positions.
On Monday, Diaz played third base during a minor league game for Toronto and he has experience at second base as well. Thigpen, who spent time with the Blue Jays last season, has logged some time at third base and first base on occasion this spring also.
