Congratulations Danny Ainge!
Our congratulations go out to former Chiefs infielder Danny Ainge on capturing another NBA Championship last night. Ainge also won two titles in Boston as a player in the 1980′s.
Ainge played in 226 games for the Chiefs the 1978-’80 seasons after being drafted by the Blue Jays in 1977. The BYU product reached the Major Leagues in 1979, but gave up his baseball career after being drafted by the Celtics in 1981.
After retiring as a player, Ainge coached the Phoenix Suns before taking over as the Celtics’ Director of Basketball Operations in 2003.
