Purcey Toast of All Star Game
Chiefs pitcher David Purcey was named the most outstanding pitcher of the Triple A All Star Game Wednesday Night at Louisville Slugger Park. Purcey pitched the longest of any hurler, throwing two complete innings as the starter for the International League. He retired all six batters including three strikeouts. He fanned Jamie DAntona who had won the home run derby on Monday. The IL lost the game 6-5. You can catch the Chiefs again Thursday Night at Alliance Bank Stadium as they start a four game series against the Durham Bulls.
