MINOR LEAGUE ATTENDANCE TOPS 43.2 MILLION

Fans attended Minor League Baseball games in record numbers for the fifth straight season in 2008 as 43,263,740 came to ballparks across the United States and Mexico.

The Syracuse Chiefs finished 12th in the International League, but an impressive 34th overall in all of Minor League Baseball, edging out Portland, OR, Jacksonville, FL, Omaha, NB, Nashville, TN, Las Vegas, NV and New Orleans, LA to name a few.

In addition to the 12 IL teams in the top 34, there were six teams from the PCL, three each from the Mexican League,Texas League and Eastern League and two teams each from the Midwest League, South Atlantic League and New York Penn League.
