ZIMMERMAN POUNDS ROUND ROCK
Righthanded pitcher JORDAN ZIMMERMAN still in major league camp pitched for the Syracuse Chiefs on Thursday against the Round Rock Express in Kissimmee, FL. The parent Washington Nationals had an off day and Nationals pitching coach Randy St. Claire and Zimmerman made the trip.
Zimmerman pitched five innings, allowing only 1-hit and struck out 8 batters. He threw 58 pitches, 44 for strikes.
The Nationals top pitching prospect will likely get one more start before the spring concludes and decisions made on who goes north to Washington or Syracuse.

Can’t wait to see Zimmerman pitch in the bigs. Maybe he’ll give Nationals fans something to be excited about. You know you’re on to something when you have two guys who share a name like “Zimmerman”, like that’s kinda creepy… watch out for the Nationals…
Oh wait, I meant to say watch out for Adam Dunn. http://eatsleepmlb.mlblogs.com
