ANDERSON HERNANDEZ JOINS CHIEFS ON MLB REHAB

The Washington Nationals assigned infielder ANDERSON HERNANDEZ to the Syracuse Chiefs today under the MLB Rehab rule.

HERNANDEZ played in one game at the Nationals minor league complex in Vierra, FL on Saturday and will join the Chiefs in Rochester today and play second base.

He suffered a hamstring injury late in Spring Training and was placed on the disabled list to begin the season.

HERNANDEZ will likely stay with the Chiefs when they begin a four series against Lehigh Valley on Monday afternoon in Allentown, PA.
