We are in Scranton, home to this museum
dedicated to the original master escapist. Sadly, the weekdays are reserved for bus tours, so Couzens and I won’t be able to learn how to make a wildebeest disappear or something equally practical.
Interesting game last night. The Yankees got the Chiefs to strand a Carrot Top audience (13 people) on base and still only won the game by a run. A few notes:
-Kevin Mench is swinging the bat very well–he was 3-for-5 with a few well-struck singles in there.
-Josh Wilkie coaxed a double play with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh to keep the game tight.
-The roster may be changing soon….got a press release from the Nats last night that announced Roger Bernadina had been optioned back to Syracuse. With Scott Olsen scheduled to start this afternoon for the big club, the Nats could just do a 1-for-1 swap……but that’s unlikely….
-There is no free breakfast in the Radisson Lackawanna Station hotel, unless you count the oatmeal-almond bath soap and green tea and cypress shampoo. Call the toxicologist.
