Merry Strasmas Eve, Chiefs fans. Right-hander Stephen Strasburg is set to start tomorrow…but there’s two games in his way first. The Chiefs play a doubleheader with Rochester today, with a win clinching the Thruway Cup for Syracuse for the second straight year. Right-handers Yunesky Maya and J.D. Martin are scheduled to throw. We are scheduled to post some links:
*The Post-Standard’s recap of last night’s game.
*A great story from Mike Waters on a fateful meeting that Steve Lombardozzi had.
*In honor of Mike Flanagan, Joe Posnanski’s “Crafty Lefty Hall of Fame.”
*How to explain the resurgence of Derek Jeter.
*Sorry…was that Derek Jeter, or Derek Theater?
*The strange story of baseball’s unlikeliest closer.
*Somebody counted the number of people at a Marlins game.

Tune in tonight at 4:45 when we merge with On The Block for our pregame show. We’ll be on the air for quite some time afterward with (at least) 14 innings of baseball to get through.
