SANTA SCOOCH A HIT AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

The Syracuse Chiefs spent the afternoon spreading Holiday Cheer at University Hospital compliments of ****’s Sporting Goods.  Jon Wing, manager of ****’s Sporting Goods Fairmount,  helped Scooch pass out toys to the children at the pediatrics units.  They were assisted by “Santa Scooch” elves Andy Gee, Mike Voutsinas, HJ Refici, John Simone and Executive VP/COO Tex Simone.

The Chiefs would like to thank Kathleen Paice, Gina Lozito and Suzanne Karl for all their help in making today possible. The children loved the visit by Scooch and enjoyed the early christmas presents he provided them.

The 2007 season will mark the 40th year that Chiefs players have visited the childrens unit at University Hospital under Chiefs Director Harold Berman.  With today’s visit a big success, the Chiefs plan on starting another tradition of visits to University, this time with “Santa Scooch” and in December.

Thanks Scooch, you made a lot children smile today!!!!

FULL STEAM AHEAD

“Syracuse Chiefs” Baseball is back and after Monday’s official announcement we all here at INSIDE THE CHIEFS are appreciative of the reception from our fans with the change.  E-mails and phone calls have poured into our office on Tuesday with positive feedback on the new brand and what we plan to do with it in 2007.

Thanks to our entire staff, Merchandise manager Wendy Shoen who coordinated the entire change over , HJ Refici in design, Mike Voutsinas who coordinated our Web site image changeover , Andy Gee and Bob McElligott who orchestrated our media and p.r. campaign.

A special thanks to newly elected Chiefs President Ron Gersbacher, who Chaired a Special Projects Committee over the past year that included Board Members Charlie Rich, Bob Scalione, Doug Logan and David Panasci.

And to Plan B Branding, Jason Klein and Casey White who visited Syracuse this summer and put their energy and enthusiasm  back into our operation and provided us with the concept of Chiefs Baseball returning in 2007.

A job well done by everyone.
