The 46th Annual Syracuse Chiefs Hot Stove is in the books and another outstanding job was done by the 2007 Hot Stove Committee chaired by Chiefs President Ron Gersbacher.
Over 300 fans attended the dinner at the Holiday Inn Liverpool that saw the Chiefs present seven awards, introduce the 2007 Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame newest class, present equipment to the West End PBA on behalf of ****’s Sporting Goods, a silent auction of sports memoribilia that this year benefited Liverpool Little League, and listen and talk to new Chiefs manager Doug Davis, Chiefs outfielder Chad Mottola and Blue Jays Director of Canadian Scouting Kevin Briand. Also a thanks goes out to all of the former players who attended as well as LeMoyne College AD **** Rockwell and Head Baseball Coach Steve Owens. And to top it all off, the crowd was mesmerized by our featured speaker Bobby Richardson who was the hit of the night.
Thanks go out to our Master of Ceremonies Doug Logan and Time Warner Cable, Dave Perkins and ESPN Radio, our Decoration and table settings/favors duo of Wendy Shoen and Priscilla Venditti who made the room look great, John Bonura from Benefit Golf and Auctions who helped with our silent auction and provided the Derek Jeter baseball that went to Kevin Caldwell from Watertown, NY.
The staff at the Holiday Inn Liverpool again did a great job with our dinner and refreshments. Tom Mattimore and Mike Mott provided the awards that were presented and the entire Chiefs Front Office staff that worked hard on the event from producing the program to picking up players at the airport.
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!
