There are quite a few locker room name plates ($1) and uniform name plates ($5) left – let us know if you are interested in a particular player.
We also have a very limited quantity of the following items: new batting practice jerseys ($25), batting helmets ($10), skull caps ($10), catcher’s masks ($20), chest protectors ($20), shin guards ($20), and equipment bags ($25).
We still have a pretty good supply of game-worn pants ($15), belts ($1), and socks ($1/pair).
If you’re interested in stopping by the ballpark to take a look, our normal business hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm, but we ask that you please call (315-474-7833) or email (baseball@syracusechiefs.com) to make an appointment.
Finally, there have been many recent inquiries about the availability of the white home jerseys that the team has worn for the last two years. Look for these jerseys and the black alternate jerseys to become available through our popular in-game jersey raffles during the 2009 season.

CHIEFS PICK UP VELANDIA

The Syracuse Chiefs announced that they have signed veteran shortstop Jorge Velandia after he was released by the Pittsburgh Pirates at the end of spring training.

Velandia, 33, spent the 2008 season with Durham and batted .249 with 5 HR’s and 32 RBI and made only 7 errors in 120 games at shortstop.  He also appeared in 14-games with Tampa Bay and batted .320 with 11-RBI.

Velandia was an International League All-Star in 2006 with Charlotte when he batted .291 with 10 HR and 56 RBI.
